Getting started

Create your first whiteboard video

Sign up, create a project, describe a story or upload a PDF, review the scenes, and export an MP4. Your first Voodle video can be done in minutes.

You create a Voodle video by starting a project, giving it a sentence (or a PDF), and letting the wizard draft scenes, cast, and voiceover. Then you preview, tweak, and export an MP4. The free plan is enough to learn the loop.

Go to voodle.studio/signup. No credit card. You land on the dashboard of projects.

Create a project

From the dashboard, start a new video. The builder is the AI wizard — the same five beats as the homepage:

  1. Describe the idea or upload a PDF
  2. Review the cast
  3. Review scenes and script
  4. Pick / hear voiceover
  5. Draw, then export

A one-sentence brief is enough. “Explain why sourdough needs a starter, for home bakers who keep killing yeast” will beat “make a baking video.”

More on the generator: AI wizard. More on writing that sentence: text to whiteboard video.

What you should touch on the first run

  • Title — name the project something you will recognize next week
  • Cast — swap anyone who does not belong in this story
  • One narration line that sounds like an ad — rewrite it
  • Play the preview once without clicking around

Do not redesign every scene before you have heard the whole thing. The wizard’s job is a first cut.

Edit, then export

Open the editor if a prop is in the wrong place or a scene is too long. Duration should follow the voice and the last stroke, not a round number.

When it feels like a person at a board, render an MP4. Renders spend credits; sitting in the editor does not.

If something looks empty or wrong

  • No characters: the topic was too abstract. Name a person and an object in the brief.
  • Voice does not match the picture: the line is about a different beat than the objects. Rewrite the line or delete the extra prop.
  • It feels like a slideshow: objects are appearing together. Stagger them in the editor.
