Terms of Service
Last updated
These terms govern your use of voodle.studio. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.
Who these terms are with
voodle.studio ("Voodle", "we", "us") is operated by Voodle Studio. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you use Voodle for an organisation, you confirm that you may accept these terms on its behalf.
What the service does
Voodle turns ideas, scripts and PDFs you supply into narrated whiteboard animation videos, with an editor for adjusting them and exports you can download and share. Generation uses third-party AI, image and text-to-speech providers.
Your account
Give accurate details when you sign up, keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old, and if you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission.
Credits, plans and payments
Generating and exporting videos uses credits. Each plan includes the credits, limits and features shown on our pricing page, and you can buy extra credit packs. Prices are shown before you pay and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed by Razorpay.
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them; cancelling stops the next renewal. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred and may expire as described for your plan. Refunds are given where the law requires or where we offered them when you bought.
Your content, and what we may do with it
You keep ownership of what you upload and of the videos you make. You give us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your files, send them to the AI and speech providers that produce your video, and serve the result back to you and to the people you share it with.
You are responsible for having the rights to everything you upload. Exported videos are stored at long, unguessable URLs: anyone holding such a link can open the file, so treat a video link the way you would treat the video itself.
Connected AI assistants and API keys
You may connect Voodle to ChatGPT, Claude, Codex or another supported assistant, or create personal API keys for tools and scripts. A connected app or key acts as you, within the permissions you approved: the videos it creates, renames, exports or deletes, and the credits it spends, are treated exactly as if you had done it on the website.
Keep API keys secret, as you would a password, and do not put a personal key into a connector or tool that other people share. You are responsible for activity under your connections and keys until you revoke them. Disconnect an app or revoke a key at any time from Account → Connected apps.
Before an assistant starts a video it shows you the credit estimate, and Voodle never charges more than the maximum you approved. Credits and plans cannot be bought from a chat. Videos made from an assistant get an unlisted link that anyone who has it can open. Your use of ChatGPT, Claude or any other assistant is also governed by that provider’s own terms.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Voodle to:
- upload content you have no right to use, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
- produce material that is unlawful, deceptive, hateful or harassing, or that sexualises minors;
- impersonate a person or organisation, or pass off generated material as real footage where that could mislead;
- probe, overload or get around the service’s limits or security, or resell access to it.
We may remove content or suspend an account that does these things.
AI output
Scripts, drawings and voice-overs come from AI models. They can be wrong, out of date or unintentionally similar to existing work. Check anything you publish or rely on. We do not promise that output is accurate, original or fit for a particular purpose.
Our software and library
The Voodle software, editor, hand-drawn character and prop library, and brand belong to us or our licensors. You may use library artwork as part of a video you make with Voodle, but not extract it to use or sell on its own. Videos made on the Free plan carry a Voodle Studio watermark.
Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or withdraw features, including the integrations with AI assistants. We aim to keep Voodle running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability: maintenance and provider outages can interrupt generation.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Voodle at any time and ask us to close your account by writing to [email protected]. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or that we must close to comply with the law.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Voodle is provided as is, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute about them, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
Changes to these terms
We will update the date at the top when these terms change, and tell you by email or in the app before a significant change takes effect. If you keep using Voodle after that, the new terms apply.
